Women's Tennis inks Chaphalkar to class of 2022

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee women's tennis head coach Tayo Bailey-Duvall announced the signing of Rutuja Chaphalkar to a national letter of intent for the Blue Raiders' class of 2022.
"We are excited about Rutuja joining our Blue Raider family," expressed head coach Tayo Bailey-Duvall. "Rutuja is a natural all-court player, with great determination and toughness. These qualities embody our Raider Way, which will allow her a smooth transition into college tennis. I am really looking forward to working with her and watching her do great things for Blue Raider Women's Tennis."
Chaphalkar, a native of Pune, India, joins the Blue Raiders from Fergusson College and DES Secondary School. During her time at Fergusson, Chaphalkar was an International Tennis Federation J4 singles and doubles winner, as well as an ITF J5 singles winner. At DES, Chaphalkar was recognized as an Outstanding Student-Athlete Award recipient three years in a row.
During her studies at Middle Tennessee, Chaphalkar plans to major in psychology.
