Omamuyovwi and Isa Capture Gold on First Day of Hilltopper Relays

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The Middle Tennessee track and field team kicked off competition at the Hilltopper Relays on Friday, Apr. 2, at Charles M. Ruter Track & Field Complex.

Jumps
Erhire Omamuyovwi gave the Blue Raiders a successful start, earning the gold medal in the men's high jump. His 2.20m mark is his best of the season and is a new outdoor school record in the event. Kyle Teague would finish ninth with a 1.80m mark.

Esther Isa used a 1.80m jump to claim the women's high jump title. Akera Benton would later compete in the women's long jump and garner a fourth-place finish with a 5.48m mark.

Throws
Regina Yeboah would round out the day for Blue Raiders as she finished 16th in the women's shot put with a throw of 10.08m.
