Cross Country Earns USTFCCCA Honors

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The men's and women's cross-country teams have been recognized by the United States Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for their academic achievement.
The men's team received all-academic team honors as they maintained a 3.261 GPA throughout the season.
Lebo Mosito was named to the 2020 Men's Cross Country All-Academic Team as he earned a 3.338 GPA as a Video & Film Production major. Mosito finished 31st at the UAB Invitational with a time of 24:39.48 and placed third overall at the C-USA Championships with a time of 24:11.26.
The women's team also received all-academic team honors as they maintained a 3.041 GPA throughout the season.
Mercy Chepkurui was named to the 2020 Women's Cross Country All-Academic Team as he earned a 3.544 GPA as an Athletic Training major. Chepkurui finished 54th at the UAB Invitational with a time of 21:41.37 and placed fifth overall at the C-USA Championships with a time of 21:31.80.
Faith Rono was also named to the 2020 Women's Cross Country All-Academic Team earning a 3.311 GPA as an Information Systems major. Rono finished 26th at the UAB Invitational with a time of 21:01.79 and placed fourth overall at the C-USA Championships with a time of 21:31.19.
