Blue Raiders Set to Host C-USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee track and field teams are set to begin postseason competition at the 2021 Conference USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The championship meet will be held Thursday, May 13 – Sunday, May 16 at Dean A. Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium. This will be the first time since 2016 that the Blue Raiders have hosted the C-USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
The meet kicks off with the heptathlon on Thursday. Field events will take place early in the afternoon on Saturday and Sunday.

2019 C-USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships Rewind
The 2019 C-USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships were highlighted by seven event titles and 18 podium finishes for the Blue Raiders.
Kigen Chemadi earned the Male High Point Scorer of the Meet honors after claiming three champion titles. Similarly, freshman Brian Rono earned Co-Male Freshman of the Meet accolades for his performance at the 2019 C-USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Top-10 C-USA Marks
The Blue Raiders hold 43 top-10 marks on the conference qualifying list: sprints – six, distance – 25, jumps – seven, relays – four, and hurdles – one.
Middle Tennessee alone holds 23 spots in the top-3 C-USA qualifying marks.
