Rocha Earns NCAA Championships Singles Bid

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee junior Francisco Rocha has earned a bid to the NCAA Singles Championship. Rocha earns the bid by being the highest ranked Conference USA player in the ITA rankings.
The championships will take place from May 23-28 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida.
Rocha has had a breakout season in 2021, working his way to the top of the lineup for the Raiders. He has a 13-5 overall record this spring, including a 5-3 record at the number one position. He has earned wins this seasons against multiple ranked opponents including #45 Chase Ferguson of South Florida and Daniel Rodrigues of South Carolina, the #2 seed in the singles competition.
Before the Porto, Portugal native competes in the singles competition, he will hit the court with his Blue Raider teammates this weekend in Oxford, Mississippi. The Blue Raiders will battle Tulane in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
