MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Head Men's Basketball Coach Nick McDevitt announced his third signee of the 2021 class Friday as prep standout Teafale Lenard inked with the Blue Raiders.
Lenard, a 6-foot-7 wing, is a 3-star prospect according to Rivals.com. As the No. 111 ranked player in the nation, he is the second highest ranked high school prospect in the class to sign in Conference USA.
"We're very excited about adding Teafale to our program," McDevitt said. "He has tremendous size and length for a backcourt player and he impacts the game on both ends of the floor. He has a very bright future!"
The long and athletic guard who also boasts good ball skills played his prep ball this season at Link Year Prep in Branson, Mo.
Prior to his time at Link Year, Lenard averaged 15 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 2.3 steals and two blocks per game as a senior at Snyder High School in Texas.
He was named the District 5-4A MVP while also earning a TABC all-region team nod with the Tigers.
A native of Snyder, Texas - about 260 miles west of Dallas - Lenard joins Wisconsin Green Bay transfer Josh Jefferson and Odessa (TX) College transfer Isaiah Turner in the Blue Raiders signing class.
