DePriest Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee senior forward Peyton DePriest has been named Academic All-District as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), Thursday afternoon.
Representing District 3, DePriest was chosen as one of the top NCAA Division I players from from Tennessee, Virginia, and North Carolina.
Despite playing just six games this season, DePriest led the Blue Raiders with four goals, including three game-winning goals, the most in Conference USA. For her career, the Franklin, Tennessee native has 46 goals, already an MTSU record and just one shy of the C-USA record.
Off the field, DePriest is just as impressive having earned her bachelor's degree in Exercise Science in December with a 3.94 GPA. She is currently pursuing her master's degree in Leisure, Sport, and Tourism Management.
Her All-District selection adds to her list of accomplishments this season as she has also been named Untied Soccer Coaches All-South Region First Team, All-Conference USA First Team, and the Conference USA All-Academic Team.
It is the first time a Blue Raider has been named Academic All-District since Kelsey Brouwer in 2015.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early July.
