BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Blue Raiders women's tennis team went toe-to-toe in Bloomington, Indiana at the Hoosier Classic in the IU Tennis Center this weekend. Middle Tennessee competed against Indiana, Marquette, Northern Illinois, and Western Michigan.

Love-Star Alexis, Noelle Mauro, and Lilly-Sophie Schmidt boasted the blue and white for MT. Alexis and Schmidt finished the jamboree with winning records in singles play (2-1). MT did not capture a doubles victory.

HEAD WOMEN'S TENNIS COACH TAYO BAILEY-DUVALL ON THIS WEEKEND
"This weekend was a good first event to start the fall season. The girls were able to work out some nerves and I was also able to gauge where they are in their games and mentally as well. We earned a few wins but not as many as we would've liked. We are motivated for the coming weeks to get better and prepare for the ITA Regional Championship."

LOOKING AHEAD
The Blue Raiders women's tennis team will host the ITA Regional Championship at the Adams Tennis Complex beginning on Oct. 20.
