MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Fifty days ahead of the home opener at Reese Smith Jr. Field, 2022 Middle Tennessee baseball season tickets are on sale to the public.
Prices include $50 for reserved chair backs and $65 for the Family Bleacher Pass, which requires four people per game.
Fans interested can contact the Blue Raider ticket office at tickets@mtsu.edu or 615-898-5261 to purchase season tickets or for more information.
Head coach Jim Toman said fans make a big difference in how the team plays on the field.
"We are looking forward to packing Reese Smith Jr. Field this season," Toman said. "It has been quite a while since we were allowed to have full attendance and we are fired up to see our fans again. The season ticket prices are the best deal around and 2022 will be a season to remember for MTSU Baseball."
Starting March 1 vs. Lipscomb, the Blue Raiders are scheduled to host 21 home games in 2022, running through the final series of the regular season May 19-21 vs. Southern Miss.
MT returns seven position player starters and 12 pitchers from last season and brings in 22 newcomers. The 2021 Blue Raiders finished the season eighth in the country in stolen bases (107) and 49th in team earned run average (4.19).
Returnees in 2022 include the infield trio of Fausto Lopez, Brett Coker and JT Mabry and pitchers Peyton Wigginton, Eriq Swan and Trent Seibert.
Last season, Middle Tennessee made its first appearance in the Conference USA Tournament for the first time since 2015 after finishing with a 24-29-1 record and 12-19-1 in conference play.
In July, Aaron Brown became the seventh Middle Tennessee MLB draft pick in the last five years after being selected by the Houston Astros with the 268th pick in the ninth round of the 2021 MLB Draft.
