Blue Raiders matchup against Austin Peay canceled, replaced with Tennessee State

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee men's tennis opening day double-header matchup against Austin Peay has been canceled due to COVID related issues within the Austin Peay program.
After a proactive search to fill the gap in our schedule, the Blue Raiders will now face Tennessee State in the same time slot on Monday, Jan. 17 at 4:30 p.m. at the Adams Tennis Complex. MT will also host Conference USA foe Southern Miss to kick off the season at 1 p.m. on Monday.
This will be the first of two meetings against Tennessee State this season, the Tigers are slated to return to the ATC less than a month from now on Sunday, Feb. 6 at 4:30 p.m. as part of a double-header with Notre Dame.
No makeup date against Austin Peay has been scheduled as of Wednesday, Jan. 12.
