Blue Raiders drop road contest to Missouri State

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Middle Tennessee men's basketball ran into a hot-shooting Missouri State squad on its home court Saturday, falling 75-51 at Great Southern Bank Arena. The Bears made 12 of 27 3-point attempts – including 11 of their first 19 – in the victory.
Elias King led MTSU with 16 points and six rebounds as the Blue Raiders (2-2, 1-0 Conference USA) fell to 0-2 in road games.
The Blue Raiders shot just three-for-19 from long distance, turning the ball over 16 times with just four assists.

36: The Blue Raiders entered the game tied for 36th in the country in opponent's 3-point percentage at .250.
62: Teafale Lenard, Jr., recorded his 62nd career blocked shot, tying Perrin Buford for eighth in program history.
.762: The Blue Raiders' .762 free throw percentage (16-21) was a season high.

"I just thought they were a tougher team than we were, just physically more tough. When things were difficult, I didn't think we handled that adversity really well. We just got beat in a lot of ways tonight. They just looked more physical and aggressive and tougher than we did."
