Track & Field Looking to Dominate Bulldog Invitational

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Blue Raider women's and men's track and fields team are heading South for the Bulldog Invitational hosted by Samford Friday, February 11, and Saturday, February 12, in Birmingham, Alabama.
Last Time Out for the Blue Raiders
Two weekends ago, the Blue Raiders made their way to Louisville for the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational. Lyn'Nikka Vance had a Conference USA Track Athlete of the Week performance setting a new facility record with a blazing 7.47 second 60-meter dash. Vance's new time was good enough for a personal best and sits at the top of Conference USA. Vance also took sixth in the women's 200m dash with a time of 24.61 seconds.
The jumping queen, Esther Isa, eclipsed the previous facility record of 11.72m with 12.77m in the women's triple jump. Beating her previous number one spot in C-USA of 12.62m by .15m. Isa also took second place in the women's high jump with a height of 1.79m, which also marks the number one spot in C-USA.
Omamuyovwi Erhire dominated for a third weekend in a row, setting a facility record and taking first in the men's triple jump with a length of 15.48m. His jump ranked second in C-USA, only behind his own 15.69m jump from the Commodore Indoor three weeks ago.
Bulldog Invitational Meet Information
The two-day meet is currently scheduled to start at 9 a.m. on Friday. More information has yet to be posted for the meet, so make sure to check back here for the rest throughout the day and tomorrow.
