HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Middle Tennessee ended its stay in the 2022 Conference USA Baseball Championship in its 22-0 loss against Charlotte Thursday afternoon.
Fausto Lopez, Eston Snider, Wyatt Morgan and Brian Dillingham each singled for the Blue Raiders (29-26, 17-13 C-USA). Jalen Wirtz struck out two and allowed one run over three innings in relief.
Charlotte (36-21, 17-13), who advances to play the loser of Old Dominion and Louisiana Tech, piled on runs in every inning but the fourth, including an eight-run top of the first.
The Blue Raiders end their season with a five-win improvement from 2021 and the most wins by a Blue Raider team since 2015.
