Blue Raiders to compete in Mason Rudolph Championship

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee women's golf will face off against some stiff competition down the road in Franklin this weekend at the Mason Rudolph Championship. Vanderbilt is hosting the 14-team tournament on the north course at the Vanderbilt Legends Club.
MTSU opened its season with a ninth place finish at the USA Intercollegiate. Taylor Edlin and Molly Bebelaar tied for the team lead at 218 (+2).
The Blue Raiders are coming off a 2021-22 season that saw three top-five finishes, including a win at the Jackrabbit Invitational. MTSU finished ninth at the 2022 Conference USA Championship in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
WEATHER FORECAST
The forecast for Franklin shows temperatures in the mid 70s and low 80s over the weekend with a chance of rain Sunday morning.

"We're excited to play on a championship course against quality competition. We have some players who are very familiar with this course and some who are playing it for the first time. It will be good to get out there against championship quality opponents."

- Middle Tennessee is looking to replace three of its top scorers from the 2021-22 lineup. Taylor Edlin's scoring average of 75.9 was the best among players returning for 2022-23.
- Lanie Campbell and Abbie Lee made their collegiate debuts at the USA Intercollegiate and are back in the lineup this weekend.
- The Blue Raiders opened the 2021-22 season by posting the second-lowest 54-hole score in program history, carding a collective 855 (-9) to finish third at the USA Intercollegiate.
- The Blue Raiders enter the weekend at No. 157 in the latest Golfweek Women's Collegiate Team Rankings and No. 109 by Golfstat.
