MTSU to Run at the 84th Cowboy Jamboree

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Blue Raiders men's and women's cross country will compete in the 84th Cowboy Jamboree on the state-of-the-art Greiner Family OSU Cross Country Course in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
The women's 6K kicks things off at 7:45 a.m. with the men's 8K following right after. Spectator parking will be held at O'Brate Stadium with shuttles running to the course every 20 minutes starting at 7:00 a.m.
Last Time Out | Memphis Twilight Release
The women's team performed excellently, finishing first overall at the Memphis Twilight. All five runners placed in the top-11, with sophomore Naomy Limatukei placing the highest overall at fourth. The Blue Raider women beat out the number-18 ranked Ole Miss runners who finished in second. Limatukei was named C-USA Female Athlete of the Week.
The men's team ran well also, placing all six runners that went to the meet in the top 25. The Blue Raider men's squad finished second overall after tying Memphis with 39 points, beating out the number-19 ranked Ole Miss men's squad that scored 81 points. Hillary Kimaiyo led the way, placing first out of 101 runners in the men's four mile. Habtamu Geta was a step behind with a time of 19:51.64 in second place.
