Blue Raiders Drop WKU Match in Three Sets

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — The Middle Tennessee volleyball team opened up conference play with their biggest rival on Saturday. The Blue Raiders had a couple close sets in the first and third, but ultimately fell in three.
The Blue Raiders (11-4, 0-1 C-USA) fell to the #24 WKU Hilltoppers (14-2, 1-0 C-USA), with set scores of 23-25, 18-25, and 23-25. In both the first and third set of the match, MTSU held leads of 18-14.
Freshman Adri Rhoda led the Blue Raiders in points with 10.5. Rhoda had seven kills, two aces, and three block assists. Senior Kayla Henley was crucial at many points throughout the match, racking up a team-leading 14 digs and four total blocks to go along with seven kills.

- Senior Marley Banton is only two aces away from tying the 25-point era program record holder, Chelsea Ross, with 105-total career service aces.
