Rematch of triple-OT thriller brings UAB to Murphy Center

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Five days removed from its thrilling 16-point come-from-behind win at Rice, Middle Tennessee men's basketball will look to ride momentum back to the Murphy Center to take on UAB in a rematch of the triple-overtime thriller in the 2022 Conference USA Tournament Semifinals.
The Blue Raiders outscored Rice by 17 points after halftime in Houston last Wednesday, behind DeAndre Dishman's double-double and 21 points from Eli Lawrence.
Monday's game will tip off at 8:00 p.m., on CBS Sports Network. It will also be broadcast on 94.9 The Fan, 95.1 in Murfreesboro and WGNS 101.9 FM, 100.5 FM, and 1450 AM. GoBlueRaiders.com and the Varsity Network App will also carry the audio.

» MTSU joins Miami (FL) and Navy as the only teams in the country to neither lose a player to the transfer portal nor add a player from it during the 2022 offseason.
» Teafale Lenard, Jr., had a career game at Belmont in which he set personal bests in points (20), rebounds (8) and blocks (6) while adding three assists and three steals. His six blocks are tied for the fourth most in a game in program history, and MTSU's 13 blocks in the game established a new program record.
» Lenard is 51st in the country in blocked shots with 30 and 47th in blocks per game with 1.76. Midway through his sophomore season, he is fifth in career blocks at MTSU with 88.
» Lenard is on pace to surpass his program record of 50 dunks by the end of the regular season.
» DeAndre Dishman is one of just seven seventh-year players in Division I men's basketball this season.
» Dishman picked up his third double-double of the season and seventh of his career with 17 points and 10 rebounds at Rice.
» Eli Lawrence has shot .521 (38-73) from the floor over his last seven games, including a .429 (15-35) clip from 3-point range, for an average of 15.6 points per game. That stretch includes three 20-point games and a double-double.
