Loofe picks up third CUSA Freshman of the Week award

DALLAS - Chris Loofe has been named the Conference USA Freshman of the Week for the third time, as announced by the conference office Tuesday. Loofe picked up 11 points and 11 rebounds with three blocks and three assists in two games last week at Saint Mary's and Southern Utah.
Loofe's nine rebounds Friday against Southern Utah were a career high, coming alongside eight points, two assists and a block. For the week, the 6'11" Texan shot .556 (5-for-9) from the floor and 1-for-1 from 3-point range.
The Blue Raiders are back in action Saturday when they take on Murray State at 3 p.m. in Murray, Ky.
