Lady Raiders fall to Bruins 71-57

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee fell to Belmont 71-57 on on Sunday afternoon at the Curb Event Center.
After a tightly contested opening quarter the Lady Raiders (6-3) fell victim to the Bruins (5-3) red-hot shooting in the second period and entered the half down 38-23.
Coming out of the half, Belmont quickly increased its lead to 21 and the Bruins would go on to take a 56-37 lead into the fourth before winning 71-57.
Ta'Mia Scott led MTSU with 20 points. She was followed by Savannah Wheeler who tallied 10 points and Anastasiia Boldyreva with nine points and eight rebounds.
By the Numbers
54.2: Belmont connected on 13-of-24 shots from beyond the arc on the afternoon.
38-32: The Bruins out rebounded the Lady Raider 38-32 on the afternoon.
24-18: The Lady Raiders outscored the Bruins 24-18 in the paint.

• After today's loss, MTSU is 17-4 all-time against Belmont and 162-86 on the road under Head Coach Rick Insell
• Ta'Mia Scott has posted double figure in each of the last five games fro the Lady Raiders.
• Double-Digits: Savannah Wheeler logged her 97th career double-digit performance, while Ta'Mia Scott notched her seventh.

The Lady Raiders head to Huntsville, Alabama to take on the Tennessee Lady Vols on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at Propst Arena at the Von Braun Center. Tipoff is slated for 6:30 p.m. CT and the game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
