Loofe named CUSA Freshman of the Week

DALLAS - Middle Tennessee's Chris Loofe has been named Conference USA Freshman of the Week, the league announced Monday. This is the first weekly award of Loofe's career.
The 6-11 forward from Leander, Texas, set career highs Saturday with 21 minutes, five rebounds and three blocked shots against Wofford. Loofe's three blocks equaled the most this season by a Blue Raider on a team that leads CUSA in blocks per game at 4.44. His five rebounds were good for second on the team.
Loofe and the Blue Raiders are back in action Tuesday to take on Missouri State at 6:30 p.m.
