Scott named CUSA Player of the Week

DALLAS – Following strong performances against Houston and Belmont, Middle Tennessee guard Ta'Mia Scott was named the Conference USA Player of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
Scott, a sophomore from Clarksville, Tennessee picked up her first career weekly accolade.
The sophomore tallied her first career double-double in in the Middle Tennessee's 70-45 win over Houston. She logged 18 points, a career-high 11 rebounds and a career-high five steals in 40 minutes of action, going 7-of-12 from the field with a pair of triples and a perfect 2-of-2 from the charity stripe. Scott followed that performance up with 20 points against Belmont, where she went 5-of-9 from the field, including a perfect 3-of-3 from beyond the arc and 7-of-8 from the charity stripe. This marked Scott's fifth consecutive double-figure scoring performance and third 20-point performance of the season.
Scott is currently averaging 13.3 points per game and 5.4 rebounds per game.
