Lady Raiders Support Play4Kay Initiative
2/6/2023 3:15:00 PM | Women's Basketball
MURFREESBORO, Tenn.—As Middle Tennessee women's basketball continues to hold the best record in Conference USA, the program is supporting something bigger than basketball during the month of February with Play4Kay.
The Lady Raiders are proud to support the Kay Yow Cancer Fund all month long by participating in the 2023 Play4Kay National Free Throw Challenge and hosting a Play4Kay game Feb. 11 vs. UAB at the Murphy Center.
Middle Tennessee is competing against college basketball teams around the country to see who can raise the most money for the fight against cancer. Fans are encouraged to show support by making a pledge for every Lady Raider free throw made during February or by making a one-time flat donation.
The team that raises the most money will be crowned champion. All proceeds of the Play4Kay National Free Throw Challenge will benefit the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Every pledge will help to make an impact on the fight against all cancers affecting women. The Play4Kay National Free Throw Challenge is proudly sponsored by John & Sue Gibbs.
Play4Kay is the Kay Yow Cancer Fund's largest fundraising initiative and plays a major role in uniting players, coaches, and communities in the fight against all cancers affecting women.
The Play4Kay celebration continues Feb. 11 at the Murphy Center, when the Lady Raiders host UAB at 5 p.m. The first 200 fans will receive a pink tumbler. Fans wearing pink can get into the game for $8 per person at the box office.
