Blue Raiders fall to Samford on Friday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Middle Tennessee women's tennis fought and came up short 4-3 against Samford on Friday, March 17 in Birmingham, Ala.
The Bulldogs took the doubles point on courts No. 2 and 1.
Samford added another point on court No. 1. Muskan Gupta picked up the first point for the Blue Raiders on court No. 3 winning 7-5, 6-4. Freshman Sana Garakani tied the score at two all defeating her opponent 6-4, 4-6, 6-2. The Bulldogs would take points on court No. 5 and 6 with court No. 6 being the match clincher. Noelle Mauro won on court No. 4 6-3, 6-3.

"Today was not one of our best days on the court. We have to find a way to work through a few limitations that are impacting our overall performance compared to the beginning of the season. We will keep working to get back to that point both physically and mentally."
