Adkins, Shamblin conclude Music City Classic

OLD HICKORY, Tenn. - Karson Adkins and Kyndall Shamblin wrapped up their first collegiate tournament Tuesday at the Music City Classic. Adkins tied for 60th at 237 (+21), while Shamblin finished 78th at 246 (+30).
In cooler conditions than Monday's first two rounds, Adkins carded an 83 (+11) in the third round, while Shamblin recorded a score of 84 (+12).
The two Blue Raiders competed as individuals in the event hosted by Cumberland University at Hermitage Golf Course.
Coach's Comments: Caroline Caudill
"The girls stuck it out today playing in much tougher conditions. It was much colder and windier than yesterday. The pace of play was pretty slow, and that took a toll on getting the momentum going and getting putts to fall. Overall, I'm proud of these two for sticking it out for their first collegiate event, and we've taken away many positives from these three rounds, as well as what to improve in their games."

Tournament Notes
- Keiser's Hoi Ki Lau won the individual title at 217 (+1).
- Dalton State won the team title at 887 (+23).
- The Blue Raiders are back in action beginning Sunday at the Chattanooga Classic.
