Alexis named Conference USA Athlete of the Week

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Love-Star Alexis has been tabbed Conference USA Athlete of the Week, the league office announced on Wednesday.
"It is exciting that Love-Star has earned this honor this week," said MTSU head coach Tayo Bailey-Duvall. "She has definitely put in the work and her performance as our No. 1 player is evidence of that. I am happy she is being acknowledge."
Alexis went a perfect 2-0 over the weekend against Alabama A&M on Sunday. In doubles, Alexis and her doubles partner, Muskan Gupta, defeated Jasmine Boyd and Yana Dhamija on court No. 1 to claim the doubles point for the Blue Raiders.
The senior from Canada clinched the win for MTSU on court No. 1 in singles tallying a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Jasmine Boyd. This singles win would be her seventh of the season on No. 1 court.
