Carcich named C-USA Pitcher of the Week for second time

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Kamryn Carcich has earned her second Conference USA Pitcher of the Week award for Middle Tennessee, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Carcich ranks ninth overall in strikeouts in C-USA this season with 60 after posting 11 more punchouts in last week's games. Also, picking up her fourth save last weekend leads C-USA. The junior transfer threw a complete game allowing just one run last weekend in the game two win at FIU. In 10.2 innings pitched last week she put up a 0.66 ERA.
Carcich moved to 7-5 on the season after last week's outings. She has thrown 93 total innings for MTSU just behind Gretchen Mead with 109. Opposing batters are hitting just .208 off the transfer from Murray State. She leads the Blue Raiders in this category and ranks fourth in C-USA.
