"Igor has so much game," said Coach Borendame. "He is another huge culture guy that loves tennis, team and is a top student. We are excited to work side by side with him."
A native of Eaubonne, France, Berranger joins the Blue Raiders for the class of 2023. Igor attended CNED in Chasseneuil-du-Poitou and was coached by Ludivine Hilaire Cassagne.
Igor has a universal tennis ranking of 11.78 and a French ranking of -2/6. His career-high ITF ranking is No. 334. In 2021, Igor won two doubles ITF titles at the J5 Menton and J5 Bree. He reached the semi-finals of the J4 Clermont-Ferrand and the J4 Bromma in 2021 as well.
"We are thrilled to add Igor to this very deep and talented recruiting class," said MTSU Assistant Coach Andrea Caligiana. "Igor has an unbelievable talent and extremely high potential. He is also a very good guy and great student. Coach Jimmy and I know that Igor, with his talent and being very coachable, can develop a lot and we can't wait to start working with him."
