Blue Raiders back on the links in Wisconsin

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee men's golf heads north for Wisconsin's Badger Invitational this week. The tournament will be played Sunday through Tuesday at University Ridge Golf Course in Fitchburg, Wis., with live scoring through Leaderboard King.
MTSU features defending Conference USA Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference Owen Stamper, Second Team All-C-USA honoree Michael Barnard, Third Team selection Kevin Jegers, C-USA Freshman of the Year and All-Freshman selection Markus Varjun and All-Freshman selection Carter Maneth.
Stamper has won back-to-back Conference USA Player of the Week awards to start the season, posting top-five finishes in each of the Blue Raiders' first two tournaments. He won the Argent Financial Classic to start the season.

The forecast for the tournament shows sunny conditions and highs in the low 80s.

"This is our first trip to Wisconsin as Blue Raiders. It's a great field. It's a fantastic golf course and will be a great experience for our players. We need to continue to play golf as a disciplined team and avoid the big numbers, and we will have a good week."
