Blue Raiders leave Louisville with three event wins

Louisville, Ky. – Middle Tennessee men's and women's track and field teams completed the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational on Saturday afternoon with standout performances from Stephen Eloji, Habtamu Geta, John Sherman and Joel Iheakolam.
Men's Top Performances
· Iheakolam set a personal best in the Long Jump with a mark of 7.09m in his first-place finish.
· Sherman took first in the 200-meter unseeded with a time of 21.61s (PB).
· Brady Daniels placed third in the 400-meter unseeded with a 49.12s time.
· In the 800-meter, Geta placed third with a 1:51.28s (PB) time and Wail Bourahli placed fourth with a 1:51.34s time.
· Eloji qualified for the 60-meter finals after running a personal best 7.80s in the prelims.
· Eloji placed second in the final with a new personal best of 7.70s.
· In the men's 1 mile, Geta took first at 4:07.62s, Brian Kiptoo second place at 4:07.86 and Carmelo Cannizzaro in third place at 4:08.80s.
· Geta finished second in the men's 5000-meter with a 14:33.36s time.
Women's Top Performances
· Lakesha Smith placed fourth in the women's long jump with a 5.65m mark.
· Tamia Waters placed 12th in the seeded women's 200-meter with a 24.68s time in college debut in the 200-meter.
· Viktoria Rusnakova recorded a personal best in the long jump with a mark of 5.79m for second place.
· Pamela Milano placed 10th in the Women's 800-meter with a 2:12.70s time.

The men's and women's teams will be in Lynchburg, Va. for the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational on Feb. 9-10.
