Eloji earns CUSA Athlete of the Week

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Stephen Eloji was named Conference USA Track Athlete of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
In his first indoor meet of the season, Eloji ran in the 60-meter Hurdles at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational in Louisville, Ky. He qualified for the finals after running a personal best in prelims (7.80s). The junior out of Nigeria placed second in the finals running a top-five time nationally at 7.70s.
Eloji finished last track season with a First Team All-Conference USA Outdoor Selection and an appearance in the NCAA East Preliminary round. He won two events in the 2023 Conference USA Outdoor Championships in the 400-meter Hurdles and 110-meter Hurdles.

The men's and women's teams will travel to Lynchburg, Va. for the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational on Feb. 9-10.
