Women’s Tennis Closes Out Fall Schedule with MTSU Invite

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee women's tennis team is set to close out its fall schedule for the 2024 calendar this weekend, as the Blue Raiders host the MTSU Invite on Oct. 25-27 at the MTSU Outdoor Tennis Complex.
The Blue Raiders are coming off the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals in Murfreesboro on Oct. 10-15, their lone regional event of the fall. Alessia Truden was the standout for the hosts, claiming an opening round win against ETSU's Jana Rovira in three sets.
Middle Tennessee welcomes North Alabama, Eastern Kentucky and Western Kentucky to Murfreesboro this weekend for the three-day event.
Rutuja Chaphalkar, Lena Peyer, Ilaria Sposetti, Eloise Swarbrick, Alessia Truden and Karen Yibirin will once again feature for Middle Tennessee this weekend across doubles and singles play.
Match play for the MTSU Invite kicks off tomorrow at 3 P.M., as MTSU takes on North Alabama in doubles.
