Booth and Springer named to Conference USA All-Academic Team

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — The conference office announced Friday afternoon that two Blue Raiders were named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team: Kiera Booth and Brooke Springer.
A three-time Big EAST All-Academic Team member from her time at Villanova, Kiera Booth has thrived since arriving in Murfreesboro. The middle blocker's 83.0 blocks rank ninth in CUSA averaging 0.87 blocks/set. Booth's 257 kills are good for 10th in CUSA, and her 2.71 kills/set is also 10th in the conference. The grad student is eighth in the conference in hitting percentage with a .303 mark. The Berlin, Pa. native has started in all but one match she has appeared in. Booth is getting an MBA in Health Management and has a 4.0 GPA.
Brooke Springer has also put together a terrific season recording 69 kills, 69 blocks and 17 aces in 26 matches played. Springer is averaging 0.89 blocks/set, good for 10th in Conference USA. The middle blocker has recorded 182 kills and 238 blocks over her collegiate career. Springer is getting a master's in public health and holds a 4.0 GPA.
The Blue Raiders will be hosting New Mexico State for their season finale, beginning tonight, Nov. 15, at 6:00 p.m. CT at the AMG.
