MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Less than two months away from the start of the 2025 spring season, the Middle Tennessee women's golf program released its spring slate of tournaments Wednesday morning.
"We're starting the season with an exciting match play event, which is a style we haven't seen in a while, so it will be a good test," said head coach Lauren Wamsley. "Puerto Rico will be a great trip that we have been looking forward to with a good field to compete against. That'll lead us into our final two regular season events with the Golfweek Spring Invite and Tennessee Spring Challenge, which will both have great fields. This slate will be a perfect preparation for the Conference USA Championship. We are really looking forward to playing in four great events in some great locations."
'The Blue Raiders kick off their spring season at the Great River Cup from February 17-18. The first match play event of the Middle Tennessee season will take place at the Windance Country Club in Gulfport, Miss.
To open the month of March, the team will travel to Puerto Rico for the Puerto Rico Shootout, hosted by Ball State, from March 4-6. At the Palmas Del Mar Country Club Flamboyan, MT will play three rounds over three days. This will be the first time that the Blue Raiders travel to Puerto Rico to compete.
After returning from Puerto Rico, Middle Tennessee will compete at the Golfweek Spring Invite at the Caledonia Golf and Fish Club in Pawleys Island, S.C. The competition runs from March 31-April 2, with the players completing 18 holes per day.
In their last tournament before the conference championship, the Blue Raiders are set to compete in the Tennessee Spring Challenge on April 7. The inaugural tournament, hosted by the University of Tennessee at the Fox Den Country Club, is a one-day competition that features 36 holes of play.
MTSU will begin postseason play at the Conference USA Championship, hosted at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Fla., from April 14-16.
