Blue Raiders in sixth heading into third round

BOULDER CITY, Nev. – Middle Tennessee finished the first day of the Jackrabbit Invitational in sixth place Monday. The Blue Raiders improved by 10 strokes from the first round to the second, wrapping up play at 596 (+20), as Ella Manley ended the day tied for 12th at 145 (+1).
MTSU's second-round score of 293 (+5) was the fourth-lowest score of the second round and its third-lowest team round of the season.
Manley shot a 71 (-1) in the second round, coming one stroke shy of her season low with the help of five birdies. She ended the day with eight birdies through 36 holes, starting the day with a 74 (+3).
Lanie Campbell carded six birdies in the second round as part of a 73 (+1) performance. She heads into the third round tied for 24th at 149 (+5) after a first-round 76 (+4).
Molly Bebelaar is one stroke behind Campbell at 150 (+6), tied for 27th. She shot a 76 (+4) in the first round followed by a 74 (+2) in the second.
Lauren Gilchrist is tied for 38th at 152 (+8), improving by two strokes from round to round (75 to 73).
Nicole Johnson rounds out the lineup in a tie for 53rd at 155 (+11). Jillian Bowman, playing as an individual, is tied for 64 at 159 (+15).
