Blue Raiders finish seventh after third-round 296

BOULDER CITY, Nev. – Middle Tennessee women's golf shot a 296 (+8) Tuesday in the third round of South Dakota State's Jackrabbit Invitational, finishing the event in seventh place at 892 (+28). Four of the five members of the Blue Raider lineup either matched their lowest round of the tournament or set a new low Tuesday, led by Lanie Campbell's 73 (+1).
Ella Manley led the Blue Raiders at 221 (+5) for the tournament, tying for 20th individually after a round of 76 (+4) Tuesday. She recorded the third top-20 finish of her freshman season.
Campbell tied for 24th at 222 (+6), picking up three birdies in the final round She finished the event with a team-high 13 birdies. Her score of 222 tied her lowest of the season.
Molly Bebelaar picked up a team-high four third-round birdies, including one on her final hole of the tourney, en route to a score of 74 (+2) for the day. She tied for 29th at 224 (+8) overall, tying her season-low 54-hole score.
Lauren Gilchrist tied for 44th after her second-straight round of 75 (+3) gave her a 54-hole score of 227 (+11). Nicole Johnson rounded out the MTSU lineup at 229 (+13), tied for 49th. She came within one stroke of her season low.
Jillian Bowman, playing as an individual, tied for 70th at 239 (+23).

13 – Campbell's 13 birdies were one shy of the individual lead and were her most in a tournament this season.
296 – MTSU's score of 296 was its seventh-lowest round of the season.
