Blue Raiders fall short to New Mexico State on the Road

Las Cruces, N.M. — Middle Tennessee women's tennis traveled to Las Cruces, N.M. to take on Conference USA foe New Mexico State on Friday. MTSU's battled fell short 4-2 against the Aggies.
The Aggies claimed the doubles point with a win on court No. 2.
NMSU won on court No. 5 and No. 1 to begin singles play. On courts No. 2, No. 3, No. 4 and No. 6, all matches were battles and went to three sets. Rutuja Chaphalkar defeated Moon 6-3, 6-7, 6-3 on court No. 6 to get the Blue Raiders on the board. Lilly-Sophie Schmidt earned her first singles win of the season winning 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 over Kurdi on court No. 4 to cut the Aggie lead to 3-2.
