Blue Raiders earn road win at USF on Thursday

TAMPA, Fla. — Middle Tennessee men's tennis traveled to Tampa, Fla. on Thursday, March 7 to take on USF. MTSU tallied a 4-3 victory over USF and MTSU Head Coach Jimmy Borendame picked up his 250th win as a head coach.
The Bulls took the doubles point with wins on court No. 2 and No. 1. Igor Mandou Berranger and Shu Matsuoka tallied a 6-3 victory over Hudson and Oliveira on court No. 3. The match was Mandou Berranger's first doubles match of the season and resulted in his first doubles win.
To begin singles play, USF picked up a win on court No. 2. Ondrej Horak won 7-6, 6-1 on court No. 3 over Oliveira to cut the USF lead to 2-1. Freshman Jakub Kroslak earned a 3-6, 6-1, 6-3 on court No. 5 against Cham. MTSU took a 3-2 lead when No. 29 Leo Raquin defeated No. 45 Alvin Tudorica 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 on court No. 1. This would be Raquin's sixth win over a ranked opponent this spring. Demis Taramonlis clinched the win for the Blue Raiders with a 7-5, 6-4 victory over Pisane on court No. 5.
