MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee men's basketball has signed guard Jlynn Counter to its 2024-25 roster. A 2023 All-Horizon League honoree, Counter joins the Blue Raiders from IUPUI.
"Jlynn brings experience and production playing both backcourt spots, as he led his team in scoring and assists over the last two seasons," head coach Nick McDevitt said. "He has very good positional size and the ability to score in a variety of ways. We're excited he's a Blue Raider!"
Counter has been the Jaguars' leading scorer and assist-getter each of the past two seasons, averaging 14.3 points and 3.0 assists per game in 2023-24 while scoring in double figures 23 times and breaking the 20-point mark three times. He averaged 14.5 points and 3.3 assists per game in '22-23 with a high of 27 points on two occasions.
Counter, an Oklahoma City, Okla., native, joined IUPUI after a year at Northern Oklahoma College-Enid, where he earned Second Team All-Region 2 honors and was named to the region's All-Freshman team.
