MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — The Middle Tennessee volleyball team has announced the signing of transfer Brooke Springer. She will be transferring from Evansville to Middle Tennessee for the 2024 season and will be joining the team in the Fall.
"We are extremely excited to announce the signing of Brooke Springer to the MTSU Volleyball family," said MTSU Head Coach Chuck Crawford. "Brooke comes to MTSU with a ton of experience that is sure to make an immediate impact on our team! She is a very talented middle blocker that works incredibly hard in transition. However, it is her blocking that grabbed our attention! We look forward to having her amazing personality and athletic ability in our program this season!"
Last season, Springer earned 61 kills and 88 total blocks. The Henderson, Ky. native averaged .99 blocks per set. She set a career-high with eight kills in a match at Indiana State.
In 2022, Springer hit .400 on the season with 15 kills in 30 attempts and three errors.
In her freshman season, she recorded 32 kills. Brooke led the Purple Aces with 1.05 per set, 55 block assists and a total of 60 on the season. Springer tallied at least one block in 15 of the 16 matches. She set a career-high against Loyola Chicago in total blocks with 11
"I chose MTSU because I know that this is the place where I will be valued in my abilities and truly welcomed as a transfer, said Springer. "I am so thankful that I chose such an amazing team to be a part of for my last year of eligibility. I am excited to learn from an amazing coaching staff as well. All the glory to God for placing me where I am going to expand my knowledge for the game of volleyball and further my education. Go Blue Raiders!"
