Behind the Blue Raiders Episode 6 – Hans Malebranche

MTSU’s Associate AD for Development sits down to discuss all things BRAA on today’s podcast
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Hans Malebranche, Middle Tennessee's Associate AD for Development and Chief Development Officer, joins host Sam Doughton for the sixth episode of the Behind the Blue Raiders podcast series, released Friday on Spotify and GoBlueRaiders.com.
Since joining MTSU in January 2022, Malebranche's main role in the athletic department has been running the development arm for Blue Raiders Athletics, the Blue Raider Athletic Association (BRAA). That role, of course, involves a lot of fundraising, but development is college athletics is far more than just raising money to support student-athlete scholarships, capital projects and other budgetary needs, as Malebranche shares on the podcast.
The two discuss some of the top stories in the college athletics development space, before lifting the curtain on how the BRAA operates, from who makes up Malebranche's staff to the work of the BRAA Board. The pair also looks to the future, discussing progress in the Build Blue Initiative and changes to fan offerings Blue Raiders can expect ahead of the start of fall sports later this year.
