MTSU’s Associate AD for Sports Medicine brings Blue Raiders inside the training room on today’s podcast
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee Associate AD for Sports Medicine Keith Bunch joins host Sam Doughton for the latest episode of the Behind the Blue Raiders podcast series, released Tuesday on Spotify and GoBlueRaiders.com.
Bunch discusses some of the staffing changes in the Sports Medicine department, sharing how the department is structured and what he looks for in prospective hires, before sharing some tips for students looking to get into athletic training as a career. The pair also dive deep into the day-to-day schedule of MTSU Sports Medicine, who are often both the first people in the door and the last people out of the office, both in-season and out-of-season for their sports.
The pair also discuss some of the finer details of the profession, from the differences between treatment to prevent injury and treatment for an injury to the process of when the sports medicine staff consults with doctors outside of MTSU's own staff when treating injuries.
