Men’s Basketball returns to Glass House for the first time in the new year! Track picks up indoor season in Nashville.
The Blue Raiders, with the win over the Flames on Saturday, won their 31st consecutive game against Conference USA opponents, a record for a single program in the league. The previous high was 30 straight wins, set by Rice from 2018-2020.

Men's Basketball returns to the Glass House after road split to start CUSA play
On the road in an incredibly deep Conference USA, Middle Tennessee men's basketball returned to Murfreesboro with a split from the trickiest road trip (by travel schedule) in the league this season, winning on Thursday night at FIU before falling at Liberty on Saturday.
Jlynn Counter paced the Blue Raiders in South Florida, scoring 17 points, including three critical free throws that stretched MTSU's lead to four points in the closing seconds for MTSU to pick up its first CUSA win of the year.

Track earns nine medals at first indoor meet of the New Year
Middle Tennessee Track & Field had a successful trip to Nashville, Tenn. to compete in the Ed Temple Classic, taking home nine medals at the event hosted by Tennessee State. Five of those medals came from field events and the other four came from track events.
Bridgett Annan was the lone Blue Raider to take home a gold medal, doing so in the Women's 400 meter. Annan recorded a time of 57.65 seconds, a new personal record. Annan also finished fourth in the Women's 200 meter with a time of 26.11 seconds.

Fan Experience Upgrades continue in Murphy Center
I know that #FacilityFriday posts that my former colleague Larry Maples put together were highly anticipated by many Blue Raiders on social media. I'm happy to report that Nathan Wallach, our Assistant AD for Broadcast Technology, Capital Projects & Game Operations, will be sharing more insight as some projects are being completed around campus this spring!
First up, continuing MTSU's investment in fan experience that started with new video boards in both Murphy Center last year and Floyd Stadium this fall, is the work done of the new broadcast and video board control room in Murphy Center. Not only will this be a big boost to MTSU's self-produced ESPN+ broadcasts, but it will also unlock many features in-venue as well on the video boards!
🚧 Construction is ongoing on our new $1.5 million broadcast control room! This space will power events at Murphy Center, Floyd Stadium, and the new SAPC.

Designed for videoboard and ESPN+ broadcasts, it sets the stage for future connections to all athletic venues.#BuildBlue pic.twitter.com/2D5XHFzKxd
This has been the upgrade I've wanted for almost a decade now. Getting my foot in the door of @MTAthletics through video production, I knew I wanted to build our first real broadcast control room one day. Excited for this to finally be online in the next month or two.
