Craig’s Late Goal Seals 1-0 Road Win for Middle Tennessee at Louisiana Tech

RUSTON, La. — An 89th-minute goal from freshman forward Alli Craig propelled Middle Tennessee (7-4-3, 2-1-1 CUSA) to a 1-0 road victory over Louisiana Tech (2-11-1, 1-3-0 CUSA) on Sunday afternoon at Robert Mack Caruthers Field.
With the match scoreless in the final minutes, Craig connected on a pass from senior Megan Carroll, finishing from close range to secure the win for the Blue Raiders.
Middle Tennessee controlled much of the tempo, outshooting the Bulldogs 17-12 and recording six shots on goal. In goal, Ella Sellers earned her third win and third shutout of the season, making two saves. Senior forward Emma Pettersen led the offensive attack with a season-high seven shots.
Head Coach Aston Rhoden praised his team's determination:
Today we showed great resilience to win this away game. It was good to get Alli back on the scoring sheet after being out for a while. This win will certainly help our confidence as we head home to face league leaders FIU.

Pettersen set a career high with 37 shots this season.
Carroll recorded her second assist of the year.
Craig notched her third goal of the season.
