Vattiato earns CUSA Fall Spirit of Service Award

DALLAS – Middle Tennessee football's Nicholas Vattiato is one of 12 Conference USA Fall Spirit of Service Award winners.
The award honors student-athletes with significant community service endeavors, good academic standing and participation in their sport. The Spirit of Service award is presented three times throughout the season, with Friday's honorees across CUSA representing the league's fall sports.
Vattiato, out of Plantation, Fla., saw his final season cut short following an injury in the ninth game of the season. The redshirt senior still finished with 2,150 passing yards on 218 completions to go with 16 touchdowns and a passing per game average of 238.9. The team captain ended his career ranked second on the all-time list in passing yards (9,674), completions (918), attempts (1,419), and touchdowns (62).
Vattiato earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science with a 3.95 GPA and is currently pursuing his MBA.
