MTSU Track & Field performs well at Day Two of PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Middle Tennessee Track & Field rounded out the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational with some stand-out performances on Day Two.
John Sherman qualified for the finals of the Men's 60m dash with a 6.72s time in the semifinals. In the finals, Sherman ran for a 6.67s time, good for fifth place in the event.
In the Seeded Women's 3000m, Faith Nyathi set a new personal record with a time of 9:22.62s to earn fourth place in the event. Shortly behind her was her teammate, Odilia Jepchumba who ran a 9:33.30s to finish in seventh.
The Women's mile saw two personal records set by Lauren Cole and Hailee Gorham. They ran for times of 5:11.29s and 5:17.07s. Eleanor Towe ran for a season best of 5:00.82s in the event to earn 22nd place.
The Men's mile saw two Blue Raiders set personal records in Sammy Sang and Brian Kiptoo. Sang recorded a time of 4:12.07s and Kiptoo recorded a time of 4:05.76s.
Next Up
The Blue Raiders will be back out for in two weekends for the Music City Challenge at Vanderbilt University on Feb. 14 and 15.
