Blankenship, Eagles win Super Bowl LIX

MURFREESBORO – With the Philadelphia Eagles being crowned Super Bowl LIX Champions, former MTSU standout Reed Blankenship makes it six straight years a Blue Raider has won the Super Bowl.
Blankenship and the Eagles thwarted a three-peat by the Chiefs with a dominant 40-22 win in New Orleans. Blankenship, who played 55 games for the Blue Raiders from 2017-21, is the programs all-time leading tackler with 419 stops.
Charvarius Ward and Darius Harris won Super Bowl LIV with the Chiefs, while Mike Caldwell brought home the Super Bowl LV trophy with the Buccaneers and Chandler Brewer got a ring with the Los Angeles Rams for Super Bowl LVI. Harris picked up his second ring with the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII followed by Richie James, Harris (again), and Izaiah Gathings winning Super Bowl LVIII with the Chiefs last year.
Overall, Blankenship becomes the 12th different Blue Raider to win a Super Bowl (15 Super Bowls in total).
