ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Middle Tennessee women's golf program took home fourth place from the Conference USA Championships at World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Fla., finishing at 889 (+25) as a team. Two Blue Raiders finished in the top 10 of the tournament, with Abbie Lee tying for fifth and Nicole Johnson taking home eighth. The fourth-place finish is the best finish for Middle Tennessee since the 2020-21 season, which saw the team take home second from the conference tournament.
Lee completed the tournament at par (216) with a final round at 73 (+1). The senior earned a nod to the All-Tournament Team after finishing fifth, marking the first time since the 2018 CUSA Championships that a Blue Raiders has finished in the top five. She tallied two birdies in the third round, one on each nine, to earn her third top-five place of the season and fourth top 10.
Johnson's eighth place finish was the best of her career, earning her first top 10 individual finish. She improved upon her second round performance, also tallying a 73 (+1) to finish at 219 (+3) for the tournament. Dropping in two birdies on the first nine holes, she made the turn at even and shooting the next eight holes at par before bogeying 18 to round out the day.
Caroline Pardue was subbed in for the final 18 holes of the competition and made them count. The freshman played a phenomenal front nine, birdieing holes four and seven to make the turn at one-under-par 35. The back nine were more difficult and saw Pardue complete her lone round at the tournament at 75 (+3), her second-lowest round of her career.
Lanie Campbell tallied the fourth countable round for Middle Tennessee Wednesday, scoring a 78 (+6). She dropped in one birdie on the front nine and two on the back, but ran into trouble with bigger numbers, placing T-23 in the individual competition at 229 (+12).
Ella Manley closed out her tournament with a strong back nine at par, including three birdies but a tough front nine saw her close out the third round at 79 (+7) and 233 (+117) overall for a T-32 finish.
