Blue Raiders Finals Bound with a 4-0 Win Over Kennesaw State

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Middle Tennessee punched its ticket to the Conference USA Tournament final with a 4-0 win over Kennesaw State.
To open doubles play, the duo of Igor Mandou Berranger and Shu Matsuoka showcased their chemistry, defeating Sam Baldwin and Erik Valdimirov 6-2 to set the tone for the Blue Raiders. The remaining doubles matches, however, proved more competitive.
On Courts 1 and 2, both Middle Tennessee pairs went into seven-point tiebreakers. The doubles point was ultimately clinched by Karim Al-Amin and Ondrej Horak, who edged Lis Mikolaj and Anthony Weingarten 7-6 (7-4).
In singles play, the Blue Raiders took an early 2-0 lead after Weingarten was forced to retire due to injury, giving Horak the win. Shortly after, Al-Amin secured a straight-sets victory over Mikolaj on Court 1, 6-2, 6-2.
The match was clinched by Kroslak, who delivered a dominant performance against Valdimirov, winning 6-2, 6-3 to complete the 4-0 sweep.
