MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Freshman midfielder/defender Charli Dunn has been called up for the OFC Women's U-19 Championship, set to kick off on Sept. 21, 2025, in Papeete, Tahiti.
Dunn represented New Zealand at the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup and the 2023 OFC U-16 Women's Championship qualifiers. She has appeared in four matches for Middle Tennessee this season, totaling 86 minutes.
The tournament will decide which two teams represent the OFC region at the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup 2026 in Poland. Head coach Callum Holmes has selected 18 players, with 13 based in Aotearoa New Zealand and five based overseas in Australia and the USA. The Women's U-19 team will be looking to defend their title after lifting the trophy against hosts Fiji in 2023.
Aotearoa New Zealand have been drawn in Group B at the tournament alongside New Caledonia, hosts Tahiti, and Vanuatu.
The team opens against Tahiti on Sept. 23 at 1 p.m. NZT (Sept. 22, 3 p.m. local), before facing New Caledonia on Sept. 26 at 9 a.m. NZT (Sept. 25, 11 a.m. local) and Vanuatu on Sept. 29 at 10 a.m. NZT (Sept. 28, 11 a.m. local).
The championship match is scheduled for Oct. 4 at 3 p.m. local time.
