Volleyball falls to ETSU in final match of Virginia Tech Classic

BLACKSBURG, Va. – Middle Tennessee Volleyball dropped a tough four-set battle to ETSU in the final match of the Virginia Tech Classic. The set scores were as follows: 21-25, 21-25, 25-23, 14-25.
The Blue Raiders were bested by the Buccaneers in every stat category, telling the story of the match. Middle Tennessee was led offensively by Gabreille Clinkscale with 11 kills. Michaela Dlouhá was one kill shy of double-digits with nine and Aowyn Schrader posted seven. Caroline Macander recorded yet another double-double with 32 assists and 10 digs.
Defensively Macander and Raegan Durbin tied for the most digs with 10, Isil Yilmaz right behind them with nine. Michaela Dlouhá led the Blue Raider block with five, Trinniti Stevens entered the match from the bench and recorded a career high four blocks.
By the Numbers
- 9: Gabrielle Clinkscale notched a career high nine digs against the Buccaneers.
- 5: Caroline Macander has now recorded a double-double in five consecutive matches, bringing her career count to eight.
- 3: Isil Yilmaz tallied a season high three service aces in today's match against ETSU.
